Before you start to do your test
Do not complete the test if:
  • You have haemorrhoids (piles) that are bleeding.
  • There is blood visible in the toilet bowl. In this case, you should contact your doctor.
  • It is within 3 days either side of, or during your menstrual period.
InSure® is a simple and convenient test to accurately check for early warning signs of bowel cancer.
  • You do not need to be on a special diet or stop your medications.
  • You only take a sample of the toilet bowl water with the brush in the kit.
  • You must take samples from two different bowel motions (2 separate occasions)
  • You must return the test card for analysis within 14 days after first sample.
Preparing for the Test
Check that your InSure® Test Kit includes:
  • A test card.
  • An information sheet.
  • A brush kit, containing two blue brushes.

Remove any chemical cleaners or deodorizes from your toilet and flush the toilet twice.
Preparing for the Test

Placement of Barcode on Test Card
After each sample is collected on the test card you will need to close the flap over the white square and seal the flap with one of the barcodes. This is done again after the second sample is taken.
